Blackhawk Network Names Greg Brown, a Veteran Leader of High-Growth Organizations, to Head the Company’s International Business

PLEASANTON, Calif — May 1, 2017 — Blackhawk Network, a leading global provider of solutions and technology that helps brands create rewarding experiences, today announced that Greg Brown has been named senior vice president of international. This announcement is part of the previously reported succession planning for Bill Tauscher’s responsibilities as head of international. The transition of Tauscher’s international responsibilities to Brown will occur over the next few months.

Brown is currently the chief revenue officer at Achievers, an industry leading provider of employee recognition and engagement solutions, acquired by Blackhawk in 2015. An accomplished executive, he has served as chief revenue officer for Extole and senior vice president of sales and services for both Mindjet and PivotLink. From 1999–2007, he held multiple leadership roles at WebEx, including leading sales and services in the EMEA region. During his tenure at WebEx, the company grew from $5 million in revenue to over $300 million, culminating in an acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2007.

As head of international, Brown will be based out of Blackhawk’s corporate headquarters in Pleasanton, California and will report directly to Roche.

As previously disclosed, Tauscher will continue to serve as chairman of Blackhawk’s Board of Directors.
