Blackhawk Supports the Network of Executive Women

Blackhawk Network is proud to be a 2016–2017 sponsor of the Northern California Chapter of the Network of Executive Women (NEW). For the past three years, Blackhawk has supported this organization which works to attract, retain and advance women in the retail and consumer products industry.

Founded in 2001, NEW concentrates its efforts on facilitating leadership development, offering networking and business opportunities, providing mentoring and support, and offering learning programs. NEW works towards championing diversity in the workplace and enhancing the retail and consumer products industry’s image.

At Blackhawk, we recognize the importance of the recruitment, retention and advancement of our female employees. This is especially evident at the senior leadership level of Blackhawk; the company’s executive roster boasts a large number of women despite Blackhawk operating in industries that have traditionally been dominated by men.

Blackhawk’s female leadership has been frequently recognized for professional excellence by a number of media and industry organizations, including Progressive Grocer, the Bay Area News Group, and, among others.

Most notably, in late 2015, Pay Magazine selected eight of Blackhawk’s female executives for its “Women Driving Payments Change” feature, noting that large portions of both Blackhawk’s global workforce and leadership team are comprised of women.
