CashStar, Hawk Incentives Insights Featured in Sales & Marketing Management

Leading industry publication Sales and Marketing Management recently featured insights from executives at CashStar and Hawk Incentives, both Blackhawk Network businesses, in its summer issue. The article, titled “Gift Card Fever,” analyzed recent data on the popularity of gift cards in corporate incentive and rewards programs. Additionally, the piece identified opportunities for businesses to take advantage of volume discounts by purchasing directly from brands, gift card suppliers or third-party agencies.

Theresa McEndree, vice president of marketing at Hawk Incentives, shared the benefits of using gift and prepaid cards as rewards to achieve superior performance results from promotions. She also pointed out the data-driven benefits of using reward- versus discount-based promotions. Tom Boucher, head of CashStar’s Velocity B2B Services, built on these insights and further discussed the rise of gift card popularity over other types of incentives in previous years—including for consumer and employee programs.
